Nevada School Law states that a child must be five (5) years old by August 1st to attend kindergarten during the 2024-2025 school year.

DTP/DT/DTAP: 4 doses are required. A 5th dose must be given if the 4th dose was administered before the 4th birthday.

IPV/Polio: 3 doses are required. A 4th dose must be given if the 3rd dose was administered before the 4th birthday.

MMR/Measles Mumps Rubella: 2 doses are required. Ideally, the 1st dose is after the 1st birthday and the 2nd dose is after the 4th birthday.

Hepatitis A: 2 doses are required and must follow the ACIP schedule.

Hepatitis B: 3 doses are required and must follow the ACIP schedule.

Varicella (Chicken Pox): 2 doses are required. Ideally, the 1st dose is after the 1st birthday and the 2nd dose is after the 4th birthday. If a child had a Varicella (chickenpox) diagnosis confirmed by a health care provider OR they have laboratory evidence of prior chickenpox disease, then it is not necessary to vaccinate regardless of age at the time of infection.

TDAP (Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis): 1 dose is required for all students entering the 7th grade and all new students in grades 8-12.

MCV4 (Meningococcal Meningitis):

1 dose is required for all students entering the 7th grade and all new students in grades 8-12. As of June 30th of 2022 and thereafter, a 2nd dose is required for all students who received dose 1 before their 16th birthday.
As of June 30th of 2022, a 2nd dose of MCV4 is required for all students entering the 12th grade.
A 2nd dose of MCV4 is required for all students who received dose 1 before their 16th birthday.

Early registration is encouraged for kindergarten. Late registration may result in placement at a neighboring school based on enrollment numbers.

To register your child, please visit the Enroll Now IC portal.

You will be required to complete your child’s enrollment at the school they will be attending by providing:

Original birth certificate
Complete and up-to-date immunization records as required by Nevada Law, and
Proof of residency (Must show TWO primary forms of residency showing the current physical address for the student)
